Procreate Project is a pioneering arts organisation supporting the development of contemporary artists who are also mothers, working across art-forms. They chose Zealous to manage the second edition of their Mother Art Prize: an international open call for self-identifying women / non-binary visual artists with caring responsibilities.
The prize is aimed at artists working in painting, drawing, mixed-media, photography, digital art, sculpture, ceramics, installation, textile, sound and video.
On Zealous, the Mother Art Prize received hundreds of international entries. Submissions were scored by 6 high profile judges and payments were easily managed by the organisers on the platform.
The prize was won by Candida Powell-Williams who creates sculptural landscapes which function as platforms for performance. 20 runner-up artists were selected for a group show. Zealous submissions and judging platform has generated a great experience for the artists, judges and organisers, enabling a fantastic result. We are thrilled for the artists and very much look forward to working with Procreate Project next year.
“It’s been a pleasure to work with Zealous on the Mother Art Prize 2018. The system is easy to use and intuitive for participants, judges and administrators. The dashboard is clear and the support team was brilliant! They promptly took care of all the complex matters with minimum effort and saved us time. The tracking features are very useful and allowed me to quickly manage the entire process, especially the final judging.”
